Work sample Year 4 HASS F-6: Environments and sustainability

This work sample demonstrates evidence of student learning in relation to aspects of the achievement standards for Year 4 HASS F-6. The primary purpose for the work sample is to demonstrate the standard, so the focus is on what is evident in the sample not how it was created. The sample is an authentic representation of student work and may contain errors such as spelling mistakes and other inaccuracies. In this work sample students: • describe the importance of environments, and sustainable allocation and management of resources • locate, collect and record information and data from a range of sources and formats • interpret and analyse information and data to draw conclusions • propose considered actions or responses • use ideas from sources and relevant subject-specific terms to present descriptions and explanations
